We are a genuine local locksmiths based in Great Notley, Braintree. We offer a truly independent and local service. Our prices for all our works are kept as low possible and all work is done to a high standard and guaranteed for 12 months. Please be aware there any many companies adverising in telephone directories and on internet search engines that have a local telephone number. They make themselves appear to be a local business, however are in fact larger organisations with operatives based miles away, who over charge and are often poorly trained. I have recently come across a local woman who had a locksmith sent from London who charged about 5 times more then the job should have cost.
We carry a full range of UK lock sizes and types and are able to change most lock cylinders and supply and fit new locks on site. Unusual or old locks can be located same or next day. Our prices for all our locksmith work are very competitive and we are usually able to supply new locks and cylinders at a fraction of the cost of DIY stores.
Learn moreWe offer a 24 hour locksmith service to Braintree and surrounding areas. We are usually able to attend emergency lock outs within 30 minutes. Almost all doors are opened non destructively. On the rare occasion that we have to drill a door lock that we are unable to pick or bypass we will supply and fit a new lock or cylinder free of charge.
Learn moreThere are a number of locksmith companies advertising on search engines and in phone directories that have a Braintree or 0800 number and sometimes even a local address (usually a main road with no street number). These companies are not local and are sometimes located 100's of miles away. They will send an operative to you who usually covers a large area and will travel from miles away. They operate on a commission basis and have to charge many times more then the job should cost to cover their high expenses. A recent BBC Watchdog programme helped jail a locksmith who operated in a similar way and charged up to a £1000 for a simple job. See the full story on the BBC web site.
